Have you applied to GSM London through clearing? It's not too late to apply for student finance - but you need to act soon.
Here, we give you information on the financial support you are entitled to, and how to ensure you get this support, along with details of how we can help if you have any further questions.
Undergraduate finance: what are you entitled to?
All UK/EU citizens completing an undergraduate degree for the first time are eligible for financial support from Student Finance England.
You could receive:
- a Tuition Fee Loan. This is designed to cover the cost of your course fees, and goes straight to your university
- a Maintenance Loan. This will help with your living costs
- a Maintenance Grant. You don't need to pay this back. The amount you get will be determined based on your household income.
Applying for a student loan after clearing
UK/EU students may be eligible for financial support from the government through Student Finance England. If you’ve got a place at university through the clearing process and you haven't applied for student loan, don’t worry. You can apply now via the Student Finance England online service. You need to do this by 1st September, otherwise your payments might be delayed. If this date has passed, the sooner you apply the better, and the Student Loans Company will process your payments as soon as possible.

Already secured your student loan?
If you've already applied for student finance but have changed your course or university through clearing, you'll need to inform Student Finance England of the changes. To do this you will need to:
- Log in to the online service
- Click 'Make changes to your application' on the 'My account' screen.
- Click on the university/college and course page.
- Fill in the details of your course at GSM London.
If your loan application has been approved, then the online service will allow you to change your application details, your course and your loan amount, and you will receive an updated Student Support Notification Letter.
